Kathrin Kidger 2009
October 2009 Saw the opening of Kathrin’s first stand alone boutique outlet in La Lucia Mall. Designed by Carmen Kelly , the shop pays refuge to Kathrin’s eclectic and colourful heritage. The shop carries Kathrin's Label as well as her diffusion label Reine by Kathrin Kidger. Kathrin stops in regularly to drop off new stock and liaise with her clients. Kathrin’s shop manager Annie is always willing and ready to help clients find that special garment for a special event.
Reine 2007/2008 Winter
This season sees a shift in our focus to more retail intensive endeavors. Winter 2008 is about neat tailoring, high waisted silhouettes and rhinestone details.
A controlled colour pallet of grays and blacks denotes a solemn attitude accented by concealed metallic surfaces and silver accents. Oriental damasks , foil linens and brushed sateen's are the order of the day and capture the vintage energy of this Winters 1950's lady lux inspiration.
Reine 2006/2007 Inspiration
Summer 2006/2007 leans more towards Haute Couture in comparison to last year. With the underlying motivation being a desire to redefine high end African feminism and explore balance in silhouette, shape and form.
Glamour and severity combine to create an air of Dark romance. Fused with the lightness of mirrors and diamonds - a mood of mysticism is created.
Drapery is not used to soften these edges but rather a graphical motive to create an edge to softer silhouettes. Free flowing chiffon. Sumptuous satins and ornate textured surfaces of tie dyed crochet, delicate lace and beaded chiffon create a mood of utter indulgence and dramatic opulance, whilst the colour palette of dark plums, navy and grey give that feeling of sheer decadence a dark and bewitching edge.
Reine 2005/2006
Reine 2005/2006 sees a major swing back to old school glamour and femininity. With elegance being at the core of this label, this seasons pieces are about wearable romanticism coupled with strong silhouttes and innovative cuts. Silks, satins and barely there chiffons combine to create an alluring, sexy but truly feminine range.
